Real people need a Wikipedia article and must be 18 or older. A character comes from cosplay, mask and costume photos, or from the actor who played them. Every photo is free-licensed (Wikimedia Commons, the person's Wikipedia articles, and Flickr through Openverse) and its photographer is credited.

Tips for photos that scan well
- Even light, with no strong colour from screens or stage lights.
- A neutral face, mouth closed, no glasses.
- Have someone take them from about 5 feet back, zoomed in a little: arm's-length selfies stretch the nose.
- The photo that faces the camera most becomes the front one. Tap another photo, or use Reorder, to change it.
